What a great day!

Postby JohnL (BlackJeep) » Sat Sep 16, 2006 4:47 pm

My second Cub (Squeaky) is spending the weekend at the Guilford fair, hanging out with the big tractors. This morning was the fair parade through town, which covers several miles. I got to ride squeaky through the streets of Guilford for over an hour.

What was best was the appreciation from the crowd lining the street. Even though Squeaky is in his working clothes, I was told numerous times that it was the best, coolest etc. in the parade. Everyone wanted to know the year and gave big smiles and waves. People sure appreciate a Cub!

What a great day..

John

P.S. Heading back tonight to visit Squeaky and watch country star Jaime O'neal. :D

Since it has cultivators, it is probably a side dresser. Got a better picture?

Hey John...NICE PIXS of the Parade & Fair. NOTHIN' beats an old-timey Country Fair (throw in a tractor parade through town...IT'S PRICELESS)

There's something about paradin' old farm tractors through a small country town that townsfolk just LOVE!!! EVERYBOBY waves and SMILES by the side of the road. It's like BRINGIN' AMERICA BACK TO LIFE AGAIN!

I believe the EXTRA LARGE hopper on the yellow & white Cub is a fertillizer hopper. :? The wheel weights look like split Farmall A rear weights too

It is a Cole fertilizer unit.

The rear weights look like the split weights used on some 240, 330, 340 models and probably others.

Now that is what I would like to have some day.. a side dresser or fertilizer unit.. A Cub-53 series would be a nice find..

I like the look of the weights.. but they seem to be lighter and smaller than the Cub rear weights. They do look neat though..

Nice pics John, looks like you had fun :!:   8)
