I finally Found Rotors Guys

Postby Mag Man » Mon Sep 11, 2006 4:38 am

I just Wanted to let you all know that I finally fund a supplyer for J-4 Magneto Rotors. I ordered on last week to check quality and they look pretty good. They are quite exspencive though. If some of you would like one or more and I can put in a pretty good order and save on my shipping . I will still keep looking for cheaper ones but I was just happy to find a supplyer. These are costing me about $35.00 a piece right now. Probly the same as the dealer I dont know. If any one has bought a new one from the dealer lately let me know what you paid. Maybe this is not the right place.

Does everyone know the trick to tighten up a loose rotor?
Simply put a piece of tissue wrapping paper under the drive. Depending on how loose you may need thicker paper sometimes even news print wiil work. Makes them real tight after that.

So I am a little high on my price if IH is getting the same. I guess I will only buy what I need. One thing I have been thinking is to offer the Rotors at a lost at $25.00 and send me your core as long as the teeth are good. And I can rebuild them and sell them for $20.00. The Rotors Cost me $32.50 + Shipping so its not like I am making anything at $35.00 maybe a dollar ir I order 4 .
THANKS JON

That should work good for distributor rototrs, but ai don't think it will do much for mag rotors.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

I AGREE WITH JOHNNY,
Usually its the pinion Gear that causes the play when they get sharp.

John, Thats exactly where I seen it done first and my H has the tissue mod right now. Works great! An old timer taught me that before I was about ready to go out and buy a new rotor.
