sticking valve

Postby Bob McCarty » Sun Aug 27, 2006 4:19 pm

Yesterday at Rocky Mtn Cubfest we got my "new" 49 running. The gas filter screen was completely shellacked over, the needle valve was stuck and the homemade carb gasket looked marginal. The second from the left valve was sticking, but loosened up upon running. This morning, the same thing for a minute or two. I've just put Seafoam in the tank. Would you recommend anything besides the Seafoam at this point?

Thanks, Bob

Add some Marvel Mystery Oil to your gas tank.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.
