2nd gear noise

Postby huntingpal » Wed Jul 12, 2006 8:56 pm

I am looking buying a second cub to play around with. The one I am looking at tomarrow has noise in second gear acording to the owner. He said it should be no problem it is caused by that gear being used most and is just worn as it was primarily used as a mower. Is this something that I should worry about? or is he correct. Thanks for any help. Also will this be something expensive to fix? Thanks

If it is a whine, nothing to worry aobut. if it is a growl - bad bearing, or a click, click, ro clunk, clunk, broken tooth on gear.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!
