My wife's Lo-Boy

Postby Paul B » Mon Jul 10, 2006 6:43 pm

My wife bought this Lo-Boy off eBay, and I picked it up in Ohio yesterday. What kind of mower is on it? It almost looks to be shop built rather than "factory built", but if so somebody did one heck of a good job. This first picture was taken as we were getting ready to load it and bring it south.

Jeff, the people had two young boys that were, uhhh shall we say, quite active. As soon as I dropped the ramps on the trailer, they were both on it, and the one standing in the toy dump truck was riding the truck down the ramps.

Looks like a Danco mower. If so, DANCO should be cast into the spindle housings on the blade end/side. 8)

I agree, it looks like my C-3 except for the piece on the front and the skid plates on the side.

 I didn't do my home work before I asked about what kind of mower this was. I even have a brochure for an IH C-3 (Danco) mower, shown on a yellow/white Lo-Boy. Now I am embarrassed.

Now you've got me wondering... My Danco C3 has removable "skirts" around the outside. This one has them welded on.

Parts book at http://www.cngco.com shows the removable skirts on the IH C3.
