Item # 7624664726 is listed as an LP tank holder, carb, etc. Looks interesting. Was this aftermarket, and what applications would it have been used for (indoors?)? Just curious, at this point.
Thanks, Bob

LP conversion kits were suppplied by LP gas companies, not Ih. I think the seller, or maybe the orevious owner had the entire cub listed a while back. I've never seen one in real life. Due to the valve seats in a cub, I wouldn't want to seriously work one on LP.

A couple of my Cub engines came from a friend who was retiring his oil pumper fleet. He had a number of pumpers that were made from 50-T balers powered by Cub or Continental engines.
Here's the interesting part... he ran them on natural gas from the well heads without any engine modifications. He started them on gasoline and added natural gas to the intake. As the engine ran a little rich he simply cut down the flow from the fuel tank, and if it seemed a little lean he opened the gas a little further until they were running only on the well gas.
Pumping those wells took a lot of time and they had to be attended, so fiddling with the fuel for the engines gave him something to do besides napping.

Pretty interesting. Both coolant necks are included and it looks like the water was used to heat the carb or something.
Don't see anything like a regulator in there.
Donny probably has a gas well on his property and with his carb skills could make it work.... but then it would be too much like a electric lawn mower, couple of hundred feet of hose that you gotta be careful not to run over when mowing.
