New addition, maybe?

Postby Russell F » Mon May 22, 2006 7:29 pm

Went and looked at a cub tonight. 48 model, mag igniton, comes with full cultivators, and plow. Turns over, but no spark, origional 6 volt system but harness is butchred. Has Zenenth carb. It did build oil pressure while we where cranking it with a truck battery. So it looks promissing. Price sounds good to me, if i can talk wife into it, will head over this weekend to get it.

Looks good, Russell. What is the function of the belly bar attached to the cultivator shanks? Dan

Hi Russell F,

One can never have T-O-O-O-O-O many CUBs! Looks good. Mr. England, I think the wooden bar is probably for leveling/dragging
down highly hipped up rows to make a good flat seed bed for planting.
My dad always used one just like that.

Get it Russell.

I don't know why, but seems my luck is changing. Guy called me this morning, early asking me if i was still interested in the cub as the other guy backed out due to lack of funds. So i PAID IN FULL and made plans to go get it after work friday night!!! So i am now the proud owner of a 48, that doesn't run but will with a little persuasion....gotta love those second chances... :P :P :P

When it's right, it's right!

That looks like a nice Cub and I am sure a nice addition to the family.

Russ:

Congrats :!: Image on getting the Cub. Sometimes Lady Luck does smile on us.

I think you got a nice Cub there, plus you got TC, the cultivators, tool bars, the rear lifting bracket... all pretty nice. With the shanks and feet, the cultivators and rear lifting bracket alone would have brought $350.00Cdn easy... so ya done good... :!: 8) :D 8)

Nice to have an extra Cub or two hanging around for them other implements.... :!:
