Although this is a bit extreme. I don't think it is totally wrong to diassemble down to complete components PTO assy. But if there was'nt a market for it people would'nt sell it like that. I know if I had a broken part I would like to just purchase the one part than to buy the whole thing. Kind of like going to the Dealer for parts. The trouble is they don't break it down like these folks do ,They MAKE you buy the whole thing and you pay for it.

Along those lines - my son's neon needed a serpentine belt tensioner pulley as the bearings were going bad. The problem? You can't buy just the pulley (probably worth about $10 and would cost $20) You have to buy the entire tensioner which costs over $300.
