Grease fitting at clutch?

Postby Stan's Cub » Wed May 03, 2006 3:05 pm

saw a picture of the grease fitting hidden in the bell housing and figured I'd put some grease in it. silly question but, should I pump it full until I see old stuff coming out or is this a more sensitive procedure.

thanks
Chad

Chad - you will be pumping grease into a graphite block. Pump 5 or 6 pumps into the fitting a couple of times a year.

Chad:

One neat thing about an original IH Graphite TOB... if you can reach the nipple then it is right side up.. or in the case of Ellie-Mae... I can't reach the nipple so it is wrong side down...... to grease it, I gotta split it

Rudi, it's not easy, but you can turn it over without splitting the cub. pull the top rod, and tkae out the bolt that holds the 2 halves of the brakcet together , then rotate the bearign half round and reassemble.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!
