The Cost, $50.00 for the front pair, including hub cap and bolts. $75.00 for the rears, including center piece and bolts. Rick is the guy to talk too. He is willing to ship these in and out for the members of this forum. Just print this off, you mention these prices for him as a reminder. 3 day turn around. The red is cross over to IH red. The silver is supposed to be close. The above prices include sandblasting and all prep work. He said he can powder coat any metal item and will give a great deal (i think cheap).
He said is was willing to ship anywhere in US, and might in canada better check with him first though. Prices do not include shipping. Great guys to deal with, impressed the heck out of me :!: , and that is almost impossible to do :!: (With these being powder coating, i shouldn't have to worry about rust ever, isnt that correct? makes it worth it :!: )

Rudi should ya add this to speciality services? :?:

1. Whadda you think? They looking sharp? What about them cheap prices?

2. Since these are for the demo, should the hub caps and front bolts been white?

Doc - sharp? - Yes!
cheap - Yes!

The caps on the front should be white, the bolts would be red.

I hate to burst your bubble, but even powder coating will fail over time. Just as paint, it is only a coating. Rust will occur at small dings and work it's way under the coating. The powder coat will seperate from the steel as rust spreads under the coating.

Carl...common..Light for all...remember :P JEEEZ  :D

Doc, the powdercoating is beautiful and no way you could ever get a better and more durable finish for what you paid. I paid $100. for each rear rim and not the center. That included the blasting, silver coat and a clear coat. The other thing I like is the finish is so slick that you can just hose them off and they look like new again.

I don't know about the white caps for the demo.

Yep got the clear coat on these as well. Kinda excited about seeing the tires on em!

Jeese .........Mike at the price, you coulda done all four rims, shipped them here and back, and probably gone taken the wife and yourself to McDonalds for lunch with what you paid for just the outer rim of your rear rims.

Oh well, we live and learn. But now we all know a good place, with a fair (cheap)price. :!: Thats what this board is for right :!:

What brand and color powder are you using? The closest match I have found is Tiger's "Red Baron".

Awesome!

I got my rear rims and centers out being sandblasted..... I may have to go looking for someone to powder coat em. They sure did come out nice.

Mine were a bit worse, and I think I should have picked a nicer center when I replaced mine (it's the rusty one where the weights fit on)
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y40/Bu ... de3507.jpg

The got one of the front tires off yesterday and may pull the other one today. I did Rufus' in electrolosys but I think these are so bad they will get sandblasted too.

viedeodoc they look awesome. I just did my and the paint was Dupont "Little Red Wagon" Red. I also painted my hood, grille, dash, rear fenders, seat and platform. Then we had the paint matched by computer to what we are spraying the body. We are actually spraying tomorrow and hopefully I'll be patching it together during the next few weeks. Gotta get ready for the 4th of July.

The pricing you got was a good deal and it looks great.

Great price ! Minus shipping costs . I paid 160. for all four rims from a local shop , and that did not include sandblasting.
The only problem I am seeing rust starting in joints where the rims are attached to the centers seems the guy that powder coated ours may have bridged these and did not coat good enough. either way they really look super and are tough.

On the subject of colors for powder coat paint. I attended the IH winter convention, one of the seminars was by PPG paint, The representive from PPG paint say's they make any color of powder paint just the same as auto paint, but the powder paint is only avaliable in 25lb. containers thats probably why some colors are limited but if you could find an powder coater to do a lot of IH red parts, I am sure the IH red powder paint is availble from PPG.
