Head Lights

Postby Bamacub » Thu Apr 20, 2006 9:14 am

I am restoring a 1950 cub & I have a question about the lights. This tractor has the conventional tear drop style lights with the 1133 lamps (6 volt). Can these be changed to use sealed beams, if so would the sealed beams be any better?

It is much cheaper to use 6 volt 1133 bulbs then it is to use the 6 volt sealed beam ones. I paid $15 for each sealed beam bulb. and it is $3 each for 1133 bulbs.

sealed beams are nice but I think for the cost, unless your fully restoring your tractor, stay with the bulbs. They work ok at night.
