Kodiak Karry-All goes to work!

Postby Kodiak » Sat Apr 15, 2006 10:20 pm

I finished my disc setup today and got the Karry-All out to carry some fence post to their holes. (These were coner post made from telephone post) they were about 10" in diameter. The Karry-All worked better than expected I found I could back up to the hole and raise the platform and just tilt the post off into the hole :D A real back saver!

This is the orginial I made and sent Rick the drawings. He did a super job as usual and made some great improvements as well.

Anyone got any ideas on how to hold a roll of 4' wire upright while unrolling it, to nail to the fence post ???
I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.

Make a stand with a vertical bar or small pipe that will drop into stake pockets. on the bottom drop one disk blade, edge down, then either put a flat plate, or another disk blade edge up for the roll of wire to spin on as it's unrolled.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

If it comes off the side the roll will be closer to the fence post.put a lock on the roll , a pin throught it so you can tighten wire.Thats a nice carrier on a nice tractor.
Take a little time to play, you don't grow old as fast that way.

Thanks John and Mac for the ideas, I think I can come up with something that will work.
