I AM PARTING OUT A COMPLETE 1953 CUB TRACTOR WITH BELLY MOWER. THE TRACTOR PICTURED BELOW IS THE ONE I AM PARTING OUT. IT RAN GOOD. I AM PARTING IT BECAUSE I AM IN THE PARTS BUSINESS. IT HAS MANY PARTS THAT ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION THAT ARE NOT AVAILABLE NEW.

Bummer...
Such a bummer to see good tractors being bought to be parted out - maybe that explains some of the increase in prices around here...

I know what you mean, Allen. I used to think that also. But now I am one of those that sells parts as well (but only as a hobby and a means to support my Cub habit). Now I find some joy in helping others in keeping get their cubs up and running.
I generally purchase old dead/decaying cubs that have been sitting in someones back yard or pasture and salvage what parts I can out of it.
But I must be honest, I've also torn down some running cubs, too. Like Donny said, we have to have parts to keep our kids running.

If all the used parts came from totally worn out tractors there would be no good used parts.
It's sort of like organ donation. Some are sacraficed so many can live.
