does it go needle in or needle out?

If I am looking at the right part in the parts catalog (group 10, page 1, item 15), it goes pin out.

The part is the safety valve piston but I dont know which way the point goes I think it points out toward the end cap
Not sure though

I buttoned her up already all done
It is the hole right under where the large screen is inserted there is a spring and a metal cap that the valve goes into and act as a seal Valve goes first needle pointing out then cap with opening point out towards spring then the spring is inserted into the cap and slip in to the hole.
