Lot of Farmalls for sale on eBay

Postby cityofc » Wed Mar 22, 2006 1:29 pm

Not sure if anyone saw this auction, but this gentleman is selling eight restored Farmall tractors on ebay, including a Cub, in one lot. I wouldn't know what to do with eight of them!

He really shouldn't be offering to sell outside of eBay on his auction, it's kind of a no-no.

If Ebay see's it they'll cancel his auction. I put the word trade in one of my ads one time and they cancelled it. Brandon.

Yes they do seem to be a bit expensive, wonder if anyone would want the lot. Might be easier, if more time consuming, to sell individually.

I think his price is about 3 times what they are worth.

I must be one of the lucky ones, my wife is right up there with me in my interest in Farmalls & I.H. She has entered parades and is now looking for her favourite tractor, a 606.

I have seen ebay listings similar to this before where the seller was using it as a means of cheap advertising. since there is no minimum he get nation wide advertising for jsut the price of the listing.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

That's one expensive cub!!!! But you have to realize that someone, somewhere is looking for a collecton like that. They may not be up on the hobby and know the value of the tractors, but just might jump on that price to have an instant collection. People do the stupidest things. Brandon

If you think of it this way, it might make more sense...

We all know that we put more into these tractors than what they sell for on the open market. If all of these units are in as good a condition as the owner says they are, it would be cheaper to buy this lot of tractors than it would be to buy "restoration candidates" and to sink all of the money into restoring them all...

This is a "one shot deal" and you have ALL OF YOUR HEART'S DESIRE with ONE auction...

Might be the way to go... just NOT FOR ME... The fun is going to be in the buying of a "restoration candidate" and putting the sweat equity into it to make it my own work...like TOOLMAN and many others on this forum are doing...
