sunny day

Postby George Willer » Sat Mar 04, 2006 10:17 pm

Barney came home yesterday, and since I think Cubs without decals look nekkid, I had to do some shuffling to get him in the warm part of the shop for the decals. While I had them out I decided to line them up for a picture. Only one of them , Tyke, has been in a group photo before.

L to R... Shorty, Bud, Scotty, Tyke, and Barney.

George,

Now tell me something here. It looks like all these Cubs have starters, so am I correct to assume they ALL have distributors too, my point being that is a whole LOT of batteries and this is NOT even half of your fleet of Cubs, AND if your just swapping one battery, well that is a whole lot of swapping too. I know, there almost a year ago I was swapping one 6 volt battery between two cubs, a Model A Ford and then then dad even used it for his Model A and 27 Buick, kinda funny now, but thinking back why we just didn't buy an extra battery :?: Just having one 6 volt battery and switching it from one thing to another to another was rather silly. Then again, why buy one for something that ain't going to get used all of the time either :? You know, sStop to think of it, I probably have more items that uses 6 volts than I do 12 volts

Of course I guess not all of yours are 6 volt, some are 12 volt too.

Anyways that sure is a pretty looking picture there Mr. Willer, they all look very nice sitting in a group.

PS: Oh wait, where is Scruffy :?: :?: he's the only one I can remember  lol:!: :!:  I am lucky to keep my own straight, "PRB" (Puckett's Rust Bucket) and "Squatty" If Squatty wasn't so small I would really be in trouble

Country,

Nancy, Sandy, and Scruffy are pouting too. Their batteries are removed and on a table where I can maintain them easier. There are 9 batteries on that table in addition to the ones in the camper, pickup, the Jeep, and both ZTR's. I'm going to have to check to see if I can become a battery dealer. I buy a LOT of batteries.

I plan to wait for warm weather to get them all out for a family group photo.

George, Remember what your friend Roger Welch said, "never line up all of your tractors in a row, because then your wife will know exactly how many you have!"
