The plow has a "sleeve hitch" which is common to quite a few garden tractors.

Scotty, if you look closely at the disk you will note that the front of the disk (farthest from the camera) has the disks installed with the blades dished out. The rear gang has the disks dished in which is normal for a double gang disk.

That disc would be a bear to move from field to field. The cub double disc can be adjusted to have all disc's run straight forward for transport and pitched at an angle to work.

Most likely it was made from 2 garden tractor disks as Scotty said. Just turned the gangs around on one of them and bolted together. Probably never left the garden plot site.

The disc looks pretty close to the G-tractor disc I bought last year for 10-bucks. Mine works good but would work much better if it was a gang. I put (2) 3-cylinder heads on it for weight.
Then came Bronson

Garden tractor implements. Go back only for the wood splitter... you'll love it!

the disk would be so narrow the wheels would be outside it/s cut and always leaving tracks, and the plow is light enough that if you snagged a rock or root, etc. you would bend it our of shape.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

On the disk. I pull a double gang Cub disk behind a WD Allis Chalmers. I off set the disk to cover one rear wheel. My opinion is that the garden tractor disks will work with the Cub if the disk tongue were off set on the drawbar to cover one rear wheel.

Brinley

Postby allenlook » Sun Mar 05, 2006 7:39 am

I believe, if you look in Ken Updike's latest book, you will see the bottom plow being pulled by a Cub Cadet and I remember the brand stated was a Brinley. I have one exactly like it sitting out beside the barn that came with my Cub. I'll never use it if someone on the forum has an interest in it, or I'll just eBay it off one of these days.
