hydraulic noise

Postby jakeesspoo » Fri Feb 24, 2006 8:03 pm

I stated a while back that there was a funny air leak sound coming from my tractor while running. I opened the hyd. tank plug at top and it stopped. Well it started again and same thing, I unscrewed plug and heard some air hiss out, tightened it back up and no more noise... :D anyone ever have to do this? Cubs starting to run pretty good, doesnt look good but that will change eventually... Its the one I got here in ohio for 400 bucks last fall if I remeber correctly. Guy said his father hadnt run it for at least seven years. I put a battery in it, fresh gas and plugs and it started right up  still needed and needs a lot of work still though :!:

I have had this in my other tractors, put the hydraulics all the way back, then fill the tank with hydro fluid, that should solve your problem, i think

if you have a touch control unit, or anything, move the lever twards you, so the piston is all the way in, then refill.

If you leave it out, then fill it, it will pressurize the resivior, and if you try and take the plug out, POW :!: :!: you get covered in hydro fluid, don't ask
