Correct Implement Colors

Postby Indianacub74 » Mon Mar 18, 2024 1:35 pm

Was the color for implaments the same in the 70s. What I found white frame, black shanks, and red lift.

Those colors, depending on specifics, sound correct for a later cultivator.

The the cub is a 74. The 144 cultivator I'm restoring seems to be blue and red depending on the part. Mix matched to work. She does field work so the paint will take abuse. Any suggestions on paint that is good for the field. Nothing last forever but some are better.

Hi,
If you are making the Universal Mounting Frame white, I guess it would be the Case IH white
TM Tractor Parts sells, unless someone knows it is a different color.
People on here have said the Case IH paint is durable.
Below is the listing, you can look at the pic of the cap color.

Case IH dealers sell the paint too. They have quart cans too, I think. :)
