attachment=2]1D0DBC96-C1C5-49A8-B81A-00BA12D187F8.jpeg[/attachment]. I believe on the generator bushing side this is reservoir for oil. I believe there is supposed to be wool felt to wick oil from the reservoir to the shaft and bushing
Questions:
Am I correct that felt should wick oil to the bushing?
What should it look like?
The felt cut out in the picture is from my wife’s craft supplies. Is there a source that someone can direct me to?
Last question. What size oiler caps are used in the generator.
Thanks in advance

Re: Generator rear bushing reservoir
Hi,
I sent you a PM with info.
Yes, the felt is supposed to take oil to the bushing.
The felt is round, like a large string, and fits in the casting space in your 3rd pic above.
It doesn't originally use a flat felt.
The Delco part number of it in the Cub parts manual is 1947350, you can Google it and see what is there.
