4th of July

Postby D Reid » Sat Jul 23, 2022 9:39 pm

It was a very happy 4th of July for me. I drove 320 miles one way to pick up Sexy pictured. The tractor was stored in a mini storage for approximately 15 years. Dried out rusty tank, both new front tires flat, cracked and split. The rear tires were low. Used a chain and come-a-long to get out of storage building and pull up the ramps onto the trailer. It sure made for a long day and got back home at 11:58PM. It is a good memory though, I got a Cub just like I used to have about 25 years ago. Since then, I've been going down the list of things to do to a Cub once you get it home and focused on the things to get it running first but I'm resisting the urge to go play with it until I get the whole list done. I sincerely appreciate all of the great articles, posts, issues that were documented and resolved on this site. It has been such a help, like having a direct line to experienced International mechanics. Just Awesome! I've got fluid changes left to do on transmission, final drives and hydraulic system and steering. Then I'll probably have a question or two down the road once all the list is checked off. Loving it! Thank you, Dennis.

That one looks to have been well worth the trip.

Amen! I did get to see fireworks all the way home though and a Cub followed me home. Can't get much better than that.

looks like a nice little tractor, and well worth the trip. Good luck with it, and keep us posted on the progress.
