After soaking for a day and moving to a brass punch, oak wood block and a 2 lb hammer the key is out. I am very surprised how hard I had to hit the key to make it move.

Good point...I HAVE been successful finding many keys (brakes, for example) at local hardware stores. Unfortunately, the last time I looked for one of the smaller ones, the various stores (Lowe's, Ace, and Town & Country) seemed to be reducing their stocks.
Guess not enough of the "oddball stuff" sold to justify the shelf space.
