Hello gang-
I'm seeking a mid-mount grader blade for my Cub. I was about to post a want ad in the Vine, but I need some info first. What is the approximate weight of one of these? Can a couple of guys hoist one into the back of a pickup bed? I know the obvious answer is a trailer, but I don't have one.
I appreciate any info you have to share...

It would not be too bad for 2 guys lifting it in.

Or you could use some ATV ramps to slide it up into your truck.

Re: 54A grader blade...
The blade is its own ramp. Unless you've got a seriously jacked-up pickup truck just stand the blade up on end, lay it against the tailgate, then pick up the other end and slide it right on in.

Re: 54A grader blade...
Thanks fellas, that's just what I needed!
Now, anyone in north Georgia or southern Tennessee have one they'd like to part with?
I know, probably not the appropriate place to ask. I'll head for the Vine.

I moved one in the back of my 4Runner one time. It was mostly disassembled. If disassembled, the only thing you would need help with is the blade itself.

...only if you're an old guy like most of us.
I watch my two sons lift stuff by themselves and just shake my head.

Re: 54A grader blade...
If I bought one I had to get on a truck I would take some tools and some boards if I could try to get one end of the blade on the tailgate and lift the other end. If I could not do that I would remove the mounting frame off the blade and try again.
I have an a-60 blade and the first time I messed with that after putting the 54s on and off I learned my limitations. Even then I removed everything I could to get it in a truck to take it to a welding shop.

Last one I acquired, I broke down into the parts and laid it in the trunk of a late model impala…
