exhaust smell

I was wondering if the exhaust should omit an odor that lingers on your clothing.

Clem, exhaust smell seems to permeate fabrics quite easily. Much like any petroleum product, it is a lingering odor. If you are getting it from operating the tractor, you can either extend the vertical exhaust or switch to an underslung exhaust to reduce the effect. The alternative is to convince your wife / girl friend / laundry worker that it is a good smell! :)

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Tell your wife that exhaust smell is way better than another womans perfume, then duck!

Clem- considering the alternative of a cub not running, exhaust fumes are heavenly
Just don't indulge too much or you'll find out what heavenly means.

Cubs smelling from the exhaust? Tsch that's nothing, wait till youve got a 50HP Lanz single cylinder ponk ponk ponking under your nose, with a nice black/blue smoke with rings up to the treetops. Impregnated perfume from the gods, you've got it; whether from a red cub, a yellow and green or a blue Lanz, be proud of it!

You can sweeten the smell with racing fuel or avaition fuel. They smell awesome!
