clutch finger adjustment - attempt at posting photos

Postby rick 48 cub » Sun Jan 15, 2006 8:53 pm

Hi All, I hope the photos turn out. If you can not see them, try going to: http://www.photos.cubfest.com/displayim ... ?pos=-1334

Assuming you can see my pressure plate photo, am I measuring in the currect location for the 1-1/4" distance ?

(What do I need to do for my photo to appear in this posting?)

Thanks, Rick

Posting photos is easy.

Rudy wrote a real good post in the how-to forum http://www.farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8610

but all you gotta do is put [img]link%20to%20photo[/img] with no spaces between the img tags and link....

Rick, first of all, yes you are in the right spot.

Secondly, on the photo posting, there were 2 errors, first, you had the link posted between url brackets rather than img brackets. The other thing you needed to do was go one step further on the photo site and open the picture you were viewing before copying the address.

Yes, that's the right way to measure the fingers.

Rick that's a great photo, looks a bit cold out there though!
I wonder if you would like to get that with a blurb on heights etc into the "HowTo" section? Would be useful for the future.

Let me try this again...

Did I do it right that time ?

Thanks for the measurement confirmation fellas - especially you Russell and Bigdog.

Actually we are having a very warm winter here in the upper midwest. Yesterday it got up to 40 degrees f when I was working on the Cub. Usually this is the coldest week of the year with temps more like 30 degrees below zero!

As a side note - I did not get the tracter put back together last weekend. My usual CASE/IH dealer ordered me just one bolt to install the flywheel to the crank shaft! Who order just one bolt ? After some more calling today I located a major CASE warehouse just a few miles from my home - exactly halfway between Minneapolis and St. Paul. I should be in parts heaven.

Thanks Again, Rick

Rick thats a super picture, first look and again second look I had the impression that there was just a bit of ice around the edges, until I noticed someone actually sitting on the "water" very good!

I had the same impression, Pat. I was thinking "high flotation snowsuit".
