Cracked Steering Wheel Fix

Postby Pap » Sat Sep 25, 2021 8:51 pm

What is the best thing to fix a cracked up steering wheel ?
I'm guessing black 2 part epoxy glue . Is there anything else that would work ?

Check the how to forum. There are several fixes there.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

This is a HOW TO that I followed to refurbish a cracked steering wheel I had.
http://farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=143&t=37140
(NOTE: I painted the spokes black, instead of red.)

It does take patience, but is rewarding. If you don't have the time, the steering wheels are not very expensive.

Thanks Dale. I just got through reading it and that is what I am going to do.
This is my Grandfather's old cub and I want to keep the same steering wheel that he used.
Thanks for your help.

Still like the padded steering wheel with pipe insulation and wrap!! Just so much more comfortable to drive and quicker to do the repairs !! JMO!

Yup I agree with you Dusty it does look good.
But I want to try to fix it like it was when my Grandfather had it.
If I can't make it look right I will probably do your fix.
