I used an engine lift. I was able to raise, lower, and maneuver the hitch into place with little trouble. A floor jack at the front of the hitch helped also. A slight wiggle on passing between the tires was necessary, as was placing the lift strap and rope in front of the deluxe seat back. The lift strap lifted and the rope tied strategically kept the hitch at the proper shape /angle for mounting hole line up.

Hi,
Your Cub looks good in the picture.
Good way of installing the Fast Hitch.
I would read the Fast Hitch section in the Cub operator's manual, if you haven't read it before.
The 1965 Cub operator's manual has a Fast Hitch section with info.
It is at the top of the page at Cub Info, then go to Rudi's Manuals.
I sent you a PM.

You have a nice lookin cub Sir. :hattip:

I have a 1968 cub with a fast hitch, but mine dont look close to as nice as yours!

I bought mine around 2003 if I can remember correctly.

Now you need some fast hitch implements!

Happy tractoring!

Thank you Sam. I spent 5 months fixin' her up. I now have a front/midmount blade. I will be looking for a single plow and a disc set up for the fast hitch ...maybe a mower deck. She's a 1970.

If your gonna plow and disk, then you might as well get a set of 144 cultivators too! :)

Mine came with a fast hitch plow, ih 59 inch belly mower, and a 54a grader blade!

The belly mower is just too much work to use (taking it off and putting it on) if you use the tractor for plowing, disking, and cultivating.

My advice is (try to) find a fast hitch mower.

If you must have a belly mower, get a second tractor for it!
