Rear combo light
Just wondering if the repro combo work light bolts up to the battery box on the original brackets , or do I need extra bits?
Cripes - I thought I'd never get one.

Re: Rear combo light
I haven't heard of anyone having trouble mounting an aftermarket combo light. Would assume if it's for a Cub, then the light bracket would mate up to the original battery box bracket.
But then again, there I go "assuming" again... Perhaps someone else has had issues and will voice them.

Re: Rear combo light
The after market red combo light that I found bolts to the back of the battery box uses the same mounting bracket as the original.

Depends, I’ve seen repos of that come with the plastic red lens. The originals had glass lens and don’t come up for sale too often.

Re: Rear combo light
Hi,
I don't think IH used the style of rear light in your pic above on a Cub in 1957.
Below is a page from the 1955 Cub operator's manual showing the combination rear light, the red light is built into the unit.

TM Tractor sells one almost the same, here is their listing below.

If you wanted, you could put on one with the more modern sealed beam unit in it, for the white light.

If you have an existing front headlight, you can convert it to a rear light. There are several threads in the How To Forum on rear lights that may help:

Lots of good info in the How To Forum...

Re: Rear combo light
Plowboy equipment sold 6 volt after market rear combo lights for around $75.00 a few years back.
