Touch Control Block interchangeable?

I have a 1949 Cub with a cracked touch control block (351981R1). I have access to another mid-50's cub with the heavier touch control block (360719R1). My only question before I go through the trouble of taking the newer one off is will it bolt onto my 49 frame? In other words, are the base mounting holes compatible?

Yes. I put a '55 block on my '49 Cub when I had it.

It will fit with no problems, however you will need the newer rockshaft arms, or use the mounts for the old rockshaft to put it on the new one.
