1 point fast hitch

Postby rfmsr2 » Tue Oct 20, 2020 5:52 am

Hi all. I have a 53 Cub that 've put a fast hitch on. I want to get a Disc Harrow for it. I found a 4 foot, 2 row with one point fast hitch near me. My question is, "is this to big/heavy for my cub" Should I be looking for a 1 row unit instead? Thanks Richard

I guess you could say it's a tandem plow. 1 row of discs in front of another row of discs mounted on a single frame. As opposed to just a single row of discs. This is something like the one i can get

Thank you. I'll check the classified section for a single row

He means one or two rows of disks. This also isn't an exact dice cause how many disks total are in each "row", 6, 8...?

If you haven't found one, go to Exeter Scrap. Kevin Gilligan gets harrows in for scrap a lot and I have seen IH harrows over there set aside selling. You never know what he might have. Even a non fast hitch harrow could be converted by buying a point from agri supply.

You will not be able to lift a tandem disc.
You need an F38 (iirc).
