Hey whats up. I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can get some new tie rods for the steering because the ones on my cub are worn.

Cecil (53 Cub) wrote:On the inside oof the tie rods there are shims that can be removed to take out any slack. On the outside remove the cotter pins and using a large screwdriver tighten up the cap on the end. I have sucessfully taken the play out of 2 Cubs by doing this.
That's exactly right... but be sure to make the adjustments with the steering all the way to either side. The reason... the worn balls aren't truly round and adjusting to the center position can cause binding.

Tie rod
I also need tie rods for the steering as mine as a crack in it and have also been welded when the previous owner rolled it over years ago.
