Mott flail mower part number

Postby Supercub » Thu Feb 20, 2020 5:17 pm

I recently bought a cub with several attachments one being a flail mower , as expected of equipment sitting unused for years the mower is needing all new bearings. On removing the old bearings I found that the bearing for the drive end is smaller in od than the other end and the part number is unreadable. I have read through the old posts and found that at least one other member ran up against the sme thing. On my mower ( 3 bolt carrier) the shaft diameter on the drive end is 1.125 in, Alamo no longer carries the part and lists it as obsolete. Sine they no longer carry the part they were willing to send me an email with the original Mott drawing for the part. I will attempt to attach the drawing. It’s worth noticing that when Alamo sells the part under their number ( they are selling an sk bearing ) with their mark up put the price at over $120.00 . Bearings can almost always be purchased directly from a supplier for substantially less if you do a little searching. This particular bearing is an SK that crosses over to an NSK 6206 Z C3 for about $20.00. Thanks for all the help forum members give. :)

This might be a good place to start.

Hi,
Below are manuals for a Mott Mower, if you don't have them. I don't know if yours is the same model number as these manuals are for. :)

You have to call http://flailmaster.com/ to find the parts for the older mowers. They have them but not online. Bough a number of parts form them and have been happy.
