54A Blade Decals

Postby Jeff Silvey » Sun Dec 04, 2005 5:09 pm

I forgot to measure the decal on the side of my blade. I had my head somewhere else. Has anyone got the measurements? I'm going to see if Maple-Hunter will make me a set.
It has a IH on one end them McCormick Deering.

If it is a 54A, it might have said McCormick, but shouldn't have said Deering.

Jeff,

Go to my photo album and look at the decals on my 54A blade. These are absolutely original. I can take measurements and additional photos, if you'd like.

My 54A has exactly the same decals as Don's. Some slightly earlier 54As may have had McCORMICK in larger letters rather then the INTERNATIONAL with small McCormick over the top.

My patent decal is only partly there. The number is 2,700,2xx, thich is about 1955.

Mine has what you are talking about george, it had the small McCormick over top of international maybe? but I know it did say McCormick over something.
