Hoses

Postby kylev » Fri Dec 02, 2005 12:47 am

Where can I get a set of all new hoses for a 1951 cub. I would like to replace all of the water hoses and the hose that goes between the carb and air cleaner. That hose was made from 2 different size hoses because it is a reduced hose on one side it is one size and the other size where it connects to the carb it is a different size. Some one put together 2 seperate pieces of hose to accomidate this. I was wondering do they make a hose that has the reduction built into it.

All the hoses can be purchased from NAPA or any other auto parts store with the exception of the carb adaptor. You must have a Zenith carb :?: If so contact PWL from this board he makes very fine Zenith adaptors :!:

Somebody is making the reduction hose for the carb. George or Bigdog can give you the info on obtaining it.

Sounds like you may have a Zenith carb on your cub.

I get the radiator hoses from Napa. They cut them to length for me from bulk stock. If my memory serves me correctly, the smaller size hose will work in place of the larger, eliminating the need for two different hoses. The air cleaner hose with the two different sized ends can still be obtained from your local dealer. The part # is 107142C1. If you don't have a dealer close by, it can be purchsed from Tom at TM Tractor Parts. If you have the metal pipe, he has the rubber adapter, also. 8)
