Hello
My cub has a red dot jewel light inside the rear worklight,
I converted to a 12 volt system
and need to know by changing the small #51 6 volt bulb to a small #53 bulb 12 volt bulb,
will the 12 volt bulb melt the plastic lens?

Re: Red Dot Jewel Lens
The number 53 was originally called out for 12 volt versions of the combo light. It and the #51 are both rated 1 candle power. You should be OK with the #53.

I have used them in rear light on that application.

I agree. Should be cooler besides being brighter, drawing less amps, forgiving of colder temps and lasting a lot longer.
