That explains it!

I have one leg. Right side.
Can work clutch and latched brakes together and/or roll the pedals on slopes ,starts, stops if the clutch is not enough to control or stop movement.

I looked quite a while for a Deere H at a reasonable price (to me) before settling on a Cub, now two Cubs.
The hand clutch was already familiar from other Deere's.

Many tractors have a clutch for left foot.
I modified one left foot clutch to a hand lever ...But a Cub /A is fine and better designed than my hand lever was . (Look out!)

Would suck for a guy missing his right foot though ,which hints that the sellers add has a wee bit of smoke being blown in it...
Otherwise IH would have had an option of an offset the other direction for lefties...

He probably hasn't tried running it without a left hand either.

If he did his math, he would find that 1947-1964 is a lot less than 32 years.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

It's awkward, but I did it when I had my left rotator surgery. Fortunately that was at the end of August, so I wasn't doing much field work. I had the right side done the end of May, so I had the truck patch planted, and put the cultivators on the day before the surgery, and put a necking knob on the steering wheel. My loving bride was not impressed when, two days after the surgery, I was pulling out the drive headed for the truck garden for the first cultivation though! John

So IH must have anticipated needing a tractor like this when they brought out the A in 1939, before WWII even started.

My UI detector started beeping at High Boy. It didn't make it into the BS range on this ad, but it was hovering real close.
UI = under informed

If you're collecting rare models may want to check out this Cub listed as "Approx 1937 International Harvester Tractor"

Wow! Thanks I'm on it... Everyone here will be jealous!……........

I especially love the over spray on some parts.... Gives it that nice "I'm in a rush fresh look" and the "oh darn I ran out of paint" spots

I haven't heard anything more ridiculous since the time I heard that the proof "P" (stamped into every rifle stock accepted by the government during WWII) stood for Patton. Wow, Patton's boys sure had a ****load of guns! No wonder we won the War so quick!
If you own 1 tractor you have a interest
If you own 2 tractors you have a hobby
If you own 3 tractors you have an addiction
Anything over that..well your incurable!
