Help with Engine Serial Number

Postby Urbish » Mon Apr 08, 2019 6:28 am

What does this engine serial number look like to you guys? It is either FCUBM 221542 or 227542. I'm leaning toward 221542.

I think I answered my own question. With tractor serial number 6772 and engine serial number 221542, it slots perfectly between these two in this picture from the serial number database.

Looks like a 1 to me. A 7 would be slanted. Sans-serif 1's do have that little line to the left at the top. Scratching off the paint with a knife blade should clear it up.
