Auburn Clutch Co. pressure plate

Postby Ben B » Sun Mar 31, 2019 2:23 pm

Yesterday I was looking at the clutch on my 50, and noticed the name Auburn Clutch Co. on the pressure plate.

Has anyone ever heard of this company?

I'm probably going to split the 50 after I get the 77 put back together. It's leaking from the rear seal very badly, and the seal needs replaced ASAP. So, while I'm in there I will inspect the clutch and pressure plate and fix whatever needs it.

Hi,
Below are pages from the Cub parts manual showing the 2 different clutches.
It says at number 1 on the page with the Auburn clutch, to order the part number that is the Rockford clutch. :)
