zenith carb kit #

Postby brewzalot » Thu Feb 21, 2019 10:28 pm

Did some searching...but taking the easy way out and just asking is there a basic repair kit number for a Zenith carb with these numbers?
Best sources?

1-95
13794E
71523C-93

Also, what would be the year of this carb?

Thanks for any info

If you combine these 2 searches:

https://www.messicks.com/part/71523c93/carb

https://www.steinertractor.com/IHS825-Farmall-Cub-Complete-Carburetor-Repair-Kit
It looks like that kit will work. The Messicks carb #71523C93 is a replacement for #251234R94, and the
Steiner kit is for (among others) #251234R94.

Hope this helps! :D

Oh, and according to this website, it's a "***NEW*** aftermarket Zenith Replacement Carburetor for all Cubs with C60" So I don't know the year, but it seems to be an aftermarket carb.

http://www.thecarburetorshop.com/index.htm

I have used this business before, for unusual carburetor kits.

The Zenith kit for the Cub should be readily available. You might even try your local auto parts stores.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Thanks Dale for all the research-

I knew this carb didn't belong on my 57 loboy, but it didn't dawn on me it was after market either, because it doesn't have that after market "look" to it. I'm assuming now its a Jan 1995?

I have an extra IH carb, and now knowing its after market does it make sense to just use that on it? Are there pros and cons to the Zenith?

thanks too Eugene and Don for the site suggestions.

I certainly am no expert...but I have both Zeniths and IH carbs on my 4 cubs, and my favorite is whichever one is installed, working well and with linkage adjusted correctly!!
