That’s a pretty nice tractor. With what you’ve said above ive gotta ask, what’d it go for?
Pretty sure I’m gonna be jealous
I’ve been peeking in on those auction sites and seen some crazy deals pop up on mowers and old farmalls but never followed up to see where the dust settled.

Mike,

You would be very jealous, lets just say that I've paid close to as much for ones a lot older with a solid iron oxide patina, without the Woods 59. This one is solid and has not been abused. It is a keeper.

Auctions are a funny thing. A few years ago I drove by an auction sign (it had already started), turned around and went back to see what was for sale. A Lo-Boy (wasn't interested in it)with FH and implements. I bought the implements: plow, disk, and carryall for $450.

Congrats Mr Bill, great score. As you know, those don't come along very often. Stan

Nice!
It’s the deals like that that help remove the funk you feel from the ones you over paid for. We’ve all done it

Bill,

You just have to know where to look and in some cases (such as this one), being lucky has more to do with it than being good at knowing where to look.

She obviously belonged to someone who actually cared enough to take care of her. I see too many tractors like her that haven't survived in as great a shape and wonder, "how in the heck did that happen to you?". When I was growing up, I was taught that you treat it like it's the last one on the planet. And if it ever came back with a dent in it, look out. As a result, half of the lawn equipment I have today, such as the lawn mower, the Kubota 2250 I have, and other's all are nearly rust free, and have only minor scratches in the paint from the occasional "Unidentified Foreign Object" after nearly 20 plus years of daily use. So it's hard for me to imagine folks not taking care of stuff, especially when you look at new tractor prices. Have you seen those lately? Ouch!
