Ok good evening all you cub fans.
Question that may seem kind of dumb. what is FREE PLAY on clutch lever what is free supposed to mean, does the pedal move but the linkage don't and no movement of throwout bearing ?

It is the amount of movement before the throwout bearing would make contact with the pressure plate fingers. It is measured at the pedal itself. The linkages will be moving, if everything is right, but there is a small air gap between the throwout bearing face and the fingers on the pressure plate. This is to avoid premature wear on the throwout bearing. Hope this helps.

Hi,
Measure the clutch pedal free play at the surface you put your foot on. :)
