Value of all four wheel weights and fast hitch?

Postby punchofdeath » Thu Jul 12, 2018 2:28 pm

I tried looking on the site but I cant find an old thread on what a complete set of wheel weights are worth (2 front 2 rear). I found a thread from 2010 on fast hitch worth and was curious on what people are buying/selling for.

You might contact one of the FORUM sponsors for info. What I've seen advertised is about $250-300 for the rear weights and about $150-200 for the front weights. You might luck up on CL or an auction and get a deal.

Depends on locale, also. Won’t argue with Stan’s numbers, but I’d say 100 for rears and 125 for fronts. Can be gotten cheaper. Fast hitch has quite a few variables. Condition, completeness, new or old style...anywhere from 300 to 750

I paid about $300 for a LoBoy FH that needed a lot of TLC and $400 for a later style FCub FH that just needed to be bolted on the tractor.

I have seen and bought rears for as little as $50.00 pr. And fronts for as little as $85.00 pr. for NOS. I would say if you watch you can find rears for $65.00 pr. and fronts for $90.00 to $100.00 pr..

It may be cheaper and easier to purchase a tractor with the weights and FH although front weights are hard to find. If you want to buy now you will pay up. If you keep looking a tractor someone "wants off their property" will come up. I have purchased a whole tractor for an attachment.

I see rear weights for sale at the $200+ price points all the time, but only because they're the same weights and the seller keeps renewing the ad over and over, month after month. In other words they're not selling.

There is an ad on a local Craigslist with 10 sets of Cub front weights for $125 a set. They're still for sale too.

I have never paid more than $100 a pair for rear wheel weights.

Couldn't find this last night, but looked again this morning and here it is! For this price, you could have your weights and fast hitch, then sell the tractor for probably as much or more than you paid...especially if you are willing to part it out! It's missing the depth control lever for the fast hitch, and that can be hard to buy separately, but...still a pretty good deal.

Note: Or maybe you already have a set and are trying to sell them?? In which case, probably as previously said:
Front weights: $125/pair
Rear weights: $100/pair
Fast hitch (complete): $350-500

Something's off with that fast hitch. Where the lifting rod connects to it, it's to tall and the handle on the left side is part of the depth control that goes on the right side.

Heah, it looked funny to me, too. The rear rockshaft looked more like a SA part...just looks wierd!

Is that top center part a flag holder?

Upper rockshaft appears to be mounted like a Loboy. Loboys has a handle like that on the left side along with a similar depth control on the right side by fender.

Bingo! I'm not familiar with Lo Boys but a quick search shows that's what it is, even explains the different handle on the left side. Thanks!
