Cub-F 11 two way plow

Postby Slim140 » Mon Jul 09, 2018 9:33 am

I got this Cub-F 11 two way plow on a package deal a few weeks ago and been looking it over and have a couple questions.
1-what color were they? This one seems to have blue bottoms and a red everything else and doesn't appear to have been repainted.
2-this one has either had a bottom change on the right side or an awesome cut of the moldboard with a shin fitted.
The left side has a one piece moldboard with no shin.
I've never seen one of these until buying this one and in the past couple of weeks have seen 2 up for sale on The Vine :D

The right side with the shin has a piece welded across the top from the mold board to the shin, if someone cut the moldboard to add the shin they did a fantastic job of lining it up which would be hard with the curvature.

The colors are correct.

It looks like the plow originally had Plow Chief (PC) bottoms. A while after IH started making that bottom, they offered a variation, called the Replaceable Shin Plow Chief (RSPC). The two variations shared quite a few parts but the RSPC had a shin section separate from the rest of the moldboard. It appears that somebody needed to replace your right side moldboard. They evidently didn't have the one-piece PC moldboard available. So they took the two pieces from a RSPC and welded them together.

Gentlemen, I have one of these, though I do not have the colors left. I would dearly love a close up picture of the handle as mine is broken.
