Hi Guys,
As you can see in the pic if you look real close.......the original straight light switch position decal on my '77 had faded and some chucklehead put an older version curved position decal over it. Does anyone have a pic of a late longstripe original dash so I can see what the original decal looked like? I found a decal set for my year on Maplehunter (I think)....but it only came with the curved switch position decal. Was the straight decal on used on the very late longstripes? I'll check the other vendors to see if their longstripe decal kits include the straight decal. But for now I'm just wondering what it looked like.
thanks,
bob

BINGO Shane!!! Thanks. I really need to set aside some time and fully check out TM's site. It seems to be real wealth of knowledge that I never knew existed. And I'll try to get smart and look there BEFORE I keep asking these dumb questions.
You rock Brother!!
thanks,
bob

Re: Longstripe Light Switch Decal
The 1959 and 1979 parts catalogs show the same number for the straight light decal. So any original pictures you find should match. Your current one is not only curved, but the early curved that was only used until 1950. Maple Hunter has never been a good reference for accurate or even properly packaged stickers. The picture of their long stripe decal set shows both versions of the curved light sticker. However, it looks like they have a straight one in the set as well (look to the right of the curved ones).

Hi,
Below is a page from the Cub owner's manual for serial numbers 248125 and above, showing the light switch, and what the positions are.

Re: Longstripe Light Switch Decal
Hi Guys,
Jim......thanks.....I didn't see the correct straight light switch decal to the right.
Glen.......thanks to you too. I had seen that pic in the manual, but couldn't tell what color the darn decal should be. Wouldn't it have been nice if IH printed their manuals in color. No, that wouldn't work.....they'd use black and red. Oh well.
regards,
bob

Hi,
I'm not sure if you found the listing for the decal at TM Tractor, it is the last one on the page below.
