Online source for rear tires?

Postby Skinne » Tue Apr 10, 2018 10:24 am

Just picked up a 49 Cub on Sunday and the back tires are rough. My local dealers were all over the board on prices. Is there a good online source to pick up new tires?

Did you go to a truck or heavy equipment tire place?

The place I found the price for the tire was the same mounted as what I could get online delivered not mounted.

Also remember that a lot of tire shops don't like to mount new tires they haven't sold. I expect that by the time you pay shipping, you're as well off to buy local.

I put 8.3-24 Carlisle tires on my Cub from the local tire shop. Very nice tires. It was 4 years ago. Tires $190 each and new rims $112 each. Tubes $30 each. $20 per tire to mount.

Don't have any commercial dealers in town but plan on looking closer on my days off. Thanks for the info!

This is close to you. Don't know if they have reasonable prices.

I contacted Tucker when I was needing new front tires for the Cub. Bought the tires for a decent price. Great service from some very nice folks.

I do have to add though as they're only about a 30 min drive from me (which I didn't know until I went to contact them), I just carried my old ones there and they also mounted the new ones on my wheels.
Waking up the ol' Cub

Nah, it's not leaking oil. It's just marking it's territory.
