Hiya Gary , yes I've been emailing with Sharon. She is working on a postage price
I'm getting the battery box and tool box.
Cripes - I thought I'd never get one.

You might want to get pics of the actual item your buying...after following your recent posts about parts you have received !

When I talked to Norm and Sharon, they were very interested in working with Paul on this. They will help him in the best way they can. I have a lot of confidence in the service Norm will provide.

I got into work this morning and there was a parcel sitting on my desk
I quickly ripped it open to find a battery box and tool box from Norm Quay
What a great job he's done on both.
I'll give him a 10/10 and the Steiner items I had previously (and returned) a 1/10
Thanks Norm and Sharon for getting them to me. A great job packing as well.
Thanks to Gary too.
(just noticed exactly 2 months for air mail)

Google says it's 9,419 miles from De Graff to Wilberforce. 60 days is 1,440 hours. So 9,149 miles divided by 1,440 hours is 6.35 MPH. Are you sure they didn't get confused and deliver your Cub parts using a Cub at that speed?
I am happy though for you as it seems everything has worked out in the end on this one.

Seems slow but in today's world that seems fast or about right. I just got in the mail last week a priority mail 3-5 day package delivered to my house that took 5 WEEKS!! Shipped from a business in North Texas to my house in upstate SC.

I need a battery box and I think I’ll get a Unique Design box. I bought a bolt on step from him and it is great! The only trouble is he powder coats them in any color as long as it’s red. I asked. My Cub is the yellow and white variety and I wasn’t keen on a big red step on it.
From what I’ve read, painting over powder coating is usually unsuccessful for a lasting finish. I’ve had a couple of things powder coated earlier this year and I think it’s a good shop. I asked if he could go over the red and change color. He said he might be able to, but called later and said it would need to be media blasted. $125 later, I had a white step. White is easier to match the shade than yellow is.
I would love to have a Unique Design battery box, I have to decide if it’s worth $250 for one that isn’t red.

Why not ask Norm to delete the powder coating and send it to you unfinished? Then paint it whatever color you choose.

Paul, I’m very happy that your deal with Norm (and Sharon) has worked out on the positive side. When I first contacted them, they were anxious to do this, although it was a slow process with several hurdles to get past. I was happy to play a very small part, as well.

Can you get the guy to send it bare metal and have your guy coat the color you want. Is this the problem? Probably cheaper to not have to strip a coating just to recoat.

no colour on mine , only undercoat which is good as I've got a bunch of parts to paint to match my cub
