2-4" of snow?

Postby ajhbike » Fri Jan 07, 2022 4:51 pm

They missed this one...supposed to be 2-4" and we got about 10". Struggled on the gravel driveway with snowblowing until my son said what would it take to fire up Lorelei? I said nothing and why hadn't I.

15 mins and 20 mins for the neighbor across the creek and we were done.
I put the old style (I think) supports to the tractor body replacing the funky bent shaped supports and they are much sturdier.

Storrs, CT hit paydirt with 12”
Finished up at 9:45pm, so no photos of the Cub in action.

The 7th is Christmas morning for those of us of Orthodox Christian faith and I spent it plowing 6”+. Ya they called for 1-4” and we easily got 6+.
I have mine and my neighbors drives to do, 1/8 mile worth. I’m just over Covid and get winded easy so I just wanted to blow thru it. I broke out the big hammer, the Super A with A60 blade. Got it done quick with that ;)
One thing, I think I’m going to add the flexible clevis to it for the next snow to see if it improves it making it float.

Bought one from TM back in 2005, thinking I needed one. Blade only lifted about an inch with it on, off it came and into the unused parts bin.

They are calling for "significant" snow for Sunday into Monday for the Mid Atlantic States. Here we go again. I don't envy you guys up the coast to the northeast. This looks like it could be a bad one for you.

Just cold in mid-Michigan. Haven't had a plowable snow this season. Fingers crossed.

I could not say tractor when I was 2 years old so I called it Err Err.

I loved this tractor then and I still love it now.

We were supposed to get 2 to 4 or 5 inches, we got maybe a bit more than an inch. It rain a few hours more than what they were forecasting.

Sunny and cold. No snow for a while. (SW MI) I have had to clear snow only once so far. I however find the cadet and blower to be much faster than the cub and blade. Cub has weights and chains. Wet sloppy snow however can be a different story but I haven't even put the blade on the cub for several years. Vern
