Threaded grease cap on 1951 Cub

When i bought my Cub last year right front grease cap was missing and removed one from parts cub and it will not screw on? Thanks Bobby

The cap may have been left off if the threads were stripped. I'd try to clean the first 3-4 threads and see if the starting area of the thread needs attention with a thread file, etc.

Hi,
The threads in the hub might be damaged at the outer end, so the cap won't start in the hole. Or the threads might be full of old hard grease, or dirt and need cleaning out.
If the threads in the hub are damaged, you might need to remove the hub to fix them. The bearings might need greasing anyway.
If the threads are damaged too much, maybe you can use the hub from the other Cub.

Below is a page from the 1950 Cub operator's manual, with info about greasing the front wheel bearings. :)
