Happy New Year All,
I'm sitting here in the mid Hudson Valley with 6" of snow and a dead battery on my '53 Cub. System is original 6 volt. Where might I find a new battery? Current one is Case BCM-1 - 4 years old. I confess to poor maintenance.
I'm on the bottom edge of Columbia County. I'm hibernating.
Regards,
George

Take your checkbook and your credit card, and a small paper bag so you don't hyperventilate when you see the price. :big afro:

someone here recommended the 6v battery that fits early volkswagons.

o'reily's had one for not an arm and a leg. fit perfectly, works like a champ

will the battery cover still fit with the tsp battery?
I have never seen one fit. Around here TSC is as competitive as the rest of the places. Right now they have the cheapest locally at $69.99.

The TRC group 1 (made by exide) will fit if you remove the rubber bumpers on the lid, I use a thickfoam/rubber material for a spacer and insulator, top fits tight with no issues

I got mine at Tractor Supply. Length and Width was ok, but it was too tall. Ended up removing the cell cover things from the battery box cover and it fits now.

I have a 6 volt from TSC in my 1951 Cub with all covers fitting properly. The battery is 3 yrs old now and works well.
