Tractors and the games they play

ST. PAUL -- Matt McCarty of St. Paul stood up and jumped onto the seat of his tractor while Lewis Barth of Dannebrog leaned back over the back of his tractor with one arm stretched out.

"It's not as easy as it looks," said Jim Nelson, announcer for the tractor games at Grover Cleveland Alexander Days in St. Paul Saturday. About 20 tractor enthusiasts were entered into the balance beam event where they drove their tractors onto a trailer and balanced the trailer for a few seconds.

It seemed everyone had a different technique to get their tractor perfectly centered on the trailer.
